Get To Know Me

I am a born and bred Ohioan, raised in the Queen river city of Cincinnati.  I completed my Undergrad degree in 2002 at Ohio University, majoring in Finance and Business Pre-Law and then continued my education by attending the University of Cincinnati Law School, graduating in 2005.  I worked for law firms both in Ohio and California before getting an original idea to start this company while working on tax-resolution cases.  I identified a need in compliance hardships that many small businesses face when it comes to bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation.  The objective of J. Hunter Company is to enable the business owners and individuals I work with to make better financial decisions, while allowing them to focus more time on the work that they enjoy.
 

Along the way, I met my wife, Allison, who is a school-based therapist.  We have two daughters, Evelyn and Clara.  Rounding out our family are our dogs Tucker and Teddy.  Tucker is a hound-mix rescue who loves to put his nose to use on nature walks.  Teddy is a 12-pound havachon who likes to remind us to stick to our daily routines.  Our family enjoys visiting the Cincinnati Zoo, Aronoff, Music Hall, and the plethora of parks and local restaurants available to us living in Greater Cincinnati.
